“Other creators inspire me, everyone has their own story to tell.” My part as the (wo)man behind the scenes is building connections and platforms where these stories can be told.”

CREATING SPACE

I believe we are more creative in a space where we connect with each other. Everyone has different skills, opinions and questions. We learn from each from each other and we develop together. I love creating these types of spaces or being a part of them.

IMAGING TOMORROW X ZKM 2019

ZKM (Zentrum für Kunst und Medien) is a platform and informs mostly about art and technology. It is a museum but also a place for families and students to hang out. They created a community for themselfs. Unfortunally there was a problem. They are located in Karlsruhe, Germany. Karlsruhe is not very known by the public outside of the city. They asked the program: Imagining Tomorrow how they could broaden their audience.

Together with students from Karlsruhe and Chicago we created a ZKM festival as an anwser to their question. We called it ZKM Roaming Commons and imagined a exhibition that could move anywhere, using the utilities that are availible, such as tents, containers or trucks. I made our idea visiual and we proposed it to the ZKM managing board. They liked our idea of traveling their museum to new places for new communities and maybe will use it when they get the chance.
